Despite working hard to shake of the mantle of office IT nerd, Chris is still called upon to reset passwords and fix printers from time to time.

Gino Rossi

Analyst

BEC(Hons) CFA®

Gino started his career as an equity analyst in early 2000, amidst the furore of the tech boom. The way investor hysteria turned to scorn less than twelve months later was formative in shaping Gino as an investor. This was a valuable lesson in not being swept along by market sentiment. He resolved then that understanding the fundamental drivers of a business is critical and that valuation support is mandatory.

More than fifteen years later, Gino has spent time on the buy and sell side, in both large and small cap Australian Equities and in Fixed Income. He also spent time in a Corporate Strategy role, which gave him a valuable perspective on the internal workings of listed companies, the rationale and motivation for management decisions, and the mistakes investors make when evaluating a business as outsiders.  Gino recognises the importance of his role managing client money and keeps this front of mind.  He is married and has three great kids.

Theo Maas

Partner

M.Sc (Groningen) CFA®

Theo has been professionally active in the markets since 1994. He is originally Dutch and trying to decide whether he is an Australian Dutchman or a Dutch Australian. Starting as a fixed income specialist he soon realised that his real passion is reserved for the equity markets, where translating industry and company prospects into stock returns is the biggest and most interesting challenge of all. Since 1997 he has been active in various roles in Global Equity markets for ABN AMRO, with a strong accent on the Technology, Media and Telecom sectors.

Theo has always been fascinated by engineers talking about semiconductors and the four letter acronyms in the telco sector. It also helps that he is a passionate gadget lover. After doing this for 10 years it was time for a new challenge and what better place than the Arnhem team. At Arnhem he soon helped to further encourage the team to broaden its horizon by looking globally for the best industries and companies, which resulted in the launch of 2 Global Equity SMA strategies in January 2015.

Theo, in typical Dutch style, is not married but in a long-term de facto relationship with Rita. They have 2 dogs
